Nimble Titan Planning Event 16 at Soesterberg, The Netherlands
From 08 to 11 September 2015, CC SBAMD supported and took part in The Nimble Titan 16 Planning Event in Soesterberg, NLD. The event is part of a 2 year long campaign to experiment with Missile Defense issues on the strategic level. Delegates from 24 nations and organizations from around the world (e.g. Australia, Japan, Republic of Korea, GCC nations, NATO and the EU) participated and collaboratively discussed problem solving mechanisms in the Missile Defense context.
CC SBAMD’s Commander, Col Ben Kamstra, was involved as an European event lead, whereas other member of CC SBAMD acted as Subject Matter Experts and supporters of the DEU/NLD national teams.
Background information about NIMBLE TITAN
NIMBLE TITAN is a series of two-year, multinational, global Ballistic Missile Defense campaign of experimentation, consisting of various events and wargames. The twenty four participant nations and organizations collectively shape all activities and products. U.S. Strategic Command sponsors Nimble Titan which is conducted by the Joint Functional Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense as the executive agent. The current Nimble Titan 16 campaign started in 2014 and will culminate in 2016.
